# Delete a logged activity

> Removes one logged custom activity from the lead, together with its field values. This cannot be undone.

There is no update operation for a logged activity — correct one by deleting it and logging the right one with `POST /leads/{id}/activities`.

Emits an `activity.deleted` webhook so a consumer mirroring the timeline can drop its copy. The payload carries only the activity id and the lead: the values are gone by the time it fires.

`eventId` is the activity's own id from `GET /leads/{id}/activities` — not the activity TYPE id.

  description: >-
The Leadey API gives you programmatic access to your workspace: leads,
companies, contacts, campaigns, meetings, opportunities and calls, plus the
    reporting metrics behind the Cockpit.

Every request is authenticated with an organization-scoped API key, and
every response is JSON. Reads work with any key. Writes — creating leads,
adding notes, logging calls, managing tasks — need a key with write access,
and are attributed to the workspace member that key belongs to. See [Writing
    data](/guides/writing-data).
