# 9. Work the Inbox

> Every reply, across every channel, against the right person.

<Note>
  Video walkthrough coming soon.
</Note>

Outreach is easy to start and easy to drop. The **Inbox** is where the work
actually pays off — every reply, from every channel, against the person who sent
it and everything you already know about them.

## What lands here

* **Email** replies from your connected mailboxes
* **SMS** and **WhatsApp**
* **LinkedIn** messages
* **Missed calls** and voicemails

Each one is attached to its lead, so you open a reply and see their whole
history — not a message from an address you have to go and look up.

## Scope it to you or the team

Use the user selector at the top to switch between your own conversations and
the whole team's. A manager reviewing what came in overnight and a rep working
their own replies want different views of the same inbox.

## What a reply does automatically

When someone replies, Leadey:

* Marks the lead as replied
* **Stops any workflow they are in**, so nothing chases someone who has already
  answered
* Surfaces them on your Cockpit as needing a response

That second one matters most. The fastest way to lose a warm reply is to send
them the next scheduled email the following morning.

## Handle opt-outs

A reply asking to stop, an unsubscribe click, or a hard bounce adds the person
to the workspace suppression list. Every send checks it. You do not have to
remember, and a colleague on another campaign cannot email them by mistake.

## Turn a reply into next steps

From the conversation you can book a meeting, create an opportunity, set a task,
or change their status — without leaving the thread.

## What you should have now

A single place where replies arrive, with sequences stopping on their own when
someone answers.
